These stories are fictional—but like many, they’re woven with emotions, feelings, reflections, and experiences drawn from life. Several of the poems were written at different points in my life, lightly adapted to fit the stories.

As for the more intimate moments—those come straight from imagination—bummer, I know, but I’m sticking to that!

In Seasons of Intimacy, the story unfolds through four seasons (not twelve months), each reflecting a stage I believe is essential for love: physical attraction, friendship, emotional chemistry, and finally trust and patience.

Secrets of Intimacy is still divided into seasons, though less formally, serving as a timeline and quiet metaphor for timing, growth, and the moments that shape relationships.

No—not really—which is intentional. I wanted readers to step into the story themselves, without being distracted by names or appearances.

Your version of the characters may differ from mine—and that’s part of the beauty.

In one sense, each story took a lifetime because of the experiences woven in. In another, the writing itself came together relatively quickly—less than two months each. What took longer was the behind-the-scenes work: revisions, editing, artwork, formatting, etc. Who knew fonts, spacing and margins could cause so much inner turmoil? Every step taught me something new, and I’m grateful for it all.

In short, yes. Seasons of Intimacy includes several poems woven into the story, while Secrets of Intimacy also features poetic writings discovered or reflected upon, adding layers to the characters’ journey.

I know these stories are not for everyone, but I believe anyone who believes (or wants to believe) in true connection—physical, emotional, spiritual—second chances and the struggle of patience that lasting love often requires. Seasons of Intimacy is a soft, vulnerable journey of discovery, while Secrets of Intimacy picks up the speed of adventure while focusing on sustaining love and discovering answers.

If you appreciate stories that are heartfelt, realistic, and sometimes surprising, one or both may speak to you.

Beyond that, I’ve received great feedback from male readers who found the emotional themes, growth, humor, and relationship dynamics resonant. While these stories explore vulnerability and intimacy, they’re written with universal themes in mind: connection, trust, and growth—from all perspectives. I hope it resonates with readers of all backgrounds—but ultimately, that’s for each reader to decide.

While Secrets of Intimacy continues the journey from Seasons of Intimacy, each story can stand alone. Reading them in order gives the best experience, but I’ve included enough context so readers won’t be lost—hopefully, even if they start with Secrets. If not, please go back and read the first one (wink, wink—nudge, nudge).

These stories explore love and romance, including intimate moments, but they are not explicit erotica.

While a few scenes are intended for mature readers, the heat focuses on connection, emotional vulnerability, and desire—enough to spark the imagination without going over the top. Readers who enjoy slow-burn love stories with a touch of spice will hopefully feel right at home.

Secrets of Intimacy continues the journey begun in Seasons of Intimacy, exploring how relationships evolve and deepen. Beyond that, I have ideas for where the journey might go next, but it all depends on inspiration and reader curiosity.

After all, love stories rarely end; they just keep unfolding. (Unless Netflix calls—then things may move a bit faster.)

I have a few projects in the works which may not be similar, I welcome inspiration whenever it arrives. I try to never force creative writing, but I always welcome the desire to explore new ideas or stories—including the heartfelt and intimate moments (way more fun to write than proofread—seriously, Jason. Awkward).
